Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 whole White/yellow onion, grated
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  • In a large skillet on medium heat, melt butter
  • Add ground beef, garlic powder, salt, pepper, onions, and garlic.
  • Cook until no longer pink (about 5 minutes).
  • Drain grease with a paper towl.
  • Add tomato paste and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, mustard, brown sugar, tomato sauce, ketchup and beef broth.
  • Bring to a bubble
  • Reduce heat to low and cover with a lid and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • After 15 minutes, remove the lid and cook for another 5 minutes or until it thickens to your liking. Taste for salt.
  • Serve on a toasted bun.
  • Enjoy!
